This quarter I read the book "Zach's lie" written by Roland Smith. This book is about a family that gets affected by their dad which traffics drugs. One day 3 man with masks enter to their house and make them call their dad to say him that if he talks they will kill them. The other day the DEA investigated the case and say them that their dad was under arrest. The main character is named Mack but because of security he needed to change his name to Zach like all his family did. They were no more the Osbornes, they were the Grangers. Neil Osborne (his dad) worked for Alonzo Aznar who is te leader of the drug cartel. Alonzo and his people will search Neil's family to threat Neil so he does not talk. Neil's family needed to move to Elko, Nevada so Alonzo and his people don't find them. In there Zach met Sam (like his guardian in school) and Catalin who Zach liked. Zach's mom needed to send a blank card to her attorney so she knewed they were good and safe. One time Alonzo's people founded that card so they know we're they were living. When they arrived to their house they were not there (Zach were with Sam in a hotel and Zach's mom and Zach's sister were in an other part). Sam had like spie abilities so he set a trap to catch Alonzo's people. The traps worked and he catched Alonzo's people, after that the family needed to move again to another part for security.
I really liked this book. Is very interesting and engaging. I think that this book's theme is family loyalty because the family needed to pass through a lot of hard circumstances to have their dad safe. I would recommend this book to people that like the topics that had to be with drug cartels or that type of topics because this storie is about a family affected by this drug cartels and I think those people could like this book.
